Great sword, great customer service and a great company in general. The quality of the sword is really exceptional considering the price. Edit: Some remarks, I would prefer the Sidesword 3 to have a heavier blade which would make the sword more suitable for the earlier style and arguably even later style of Bolognese swordsmanship.

As a disclaimer, I was not paid for my review. While Kvetun has provided prizes for a tournament which I run, the Ascalon, that has had no bearing on my review of their equipment. I bought my first Kvetun when they did their original run of sabers, well before the Easton was even a concept. I have personally owned two of the original sabers, two Easton sabers, a cup hilt rapier, a swept hilt rapier, and the Liechtenauer feder (with another on the way). I have also used a number of other Kvetun pieces owned by my students and friends. I have enjoyed every piece that I have gotten from Kvetun and in all his time, had only one break (one of the original sabers that has put in years of service). Some weapons are not for me; the cup hilt rapier (rapier 1) is longer and more flexy than suits my style. However, I have a training partner who loves it for the length and another friend who loves it for the flex. I prefer my rapier 2, as it suits my style of agreasively taking the center line and controlling the opponent's weapon in the bind. And I am glad that they offer multiple options for different styles. But every piece has been of great quality. The Easton saber is a staple for a reason. it is a durable workhorse and it moves as we want a military saber to move. It is forgiving enough in the trust without sacrificing bind presence and is nimble enough to be used in any style from Angelo to Waite. I am overly protective of my hands after a few serious injuries and I feel comfortable with only a lacrosse gloves for the Easton Saber. The Liechtenauer is a piece I have loved showing off. If you have seen me at an event in the past year, I probably told you to play with it. I also probably had you compare its flex to one of my Sigi concepts; I am still amazed that the flex is every bit as good as that of the Sigis. I thought at first that the high schilt would br a problem for me, but I have come to love it. The schilt protects my hands, brings my opponents' blades right onto my cross, and puts the point of balance at such a sweet spot that the sword is a joy to use. it has been my primary sword pretty much since I received it. In all, Kvetun does amazing work. If you are considering getting anything from them, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The only thing I will remind people is to be patient with them if orders are taking longer than expected; I took an waiting on an order from them and I understand the impatience. The brave workers at Kvetun left their homes due to Putin's war and have started anew in a new country. They are doing their best in less than ideal circumstances and I cannot help put respect them for the sacrifices they have made.

I just received my second order from Kvetun! I’m ecstatic with the quality and workmanship. I ordered 2 pappenheimers and an equipment bag. My first impression of the rapier was disbelief in how beautiful it was, the feel and balance were in my sweet spot, and the hand feel was perfect. On Sunday I’ll get to try it out sparring.

The equipment bag looks good, the balance loaded up was easy to carry, and the logo was spot on. I loaded it up with 2 pappenheimers (different brands), 1 side-sword, 1 long sword, 1 dagger, and a spare rapier blade. The only challenge was the Kvetun pappenheimer just barely fit due to the width of the guard/quillions which may be an issue over time. I apparently had more gear than I realized as I couldn’t fit my second long sword, schiavona, nor 3-ring short rapier.

Kvetun was very professional and prompt in their responses even when I was having frustrating issues with my bank trying to pay them via bank transfer after the move to Georgia (the country, not the state). Fortunately in the week I fought with my bank Kvetun got PayPal working and payment went through accurately on the first try.

The only negative experience was due to my package getting lost in NYC between US Customs and US Postal

Service for about 30 days. Apparently the sheet with the delivery address was torn out of the clear envelope Kvetun had used. Fortunately the package didn’t come apart, but it made it to the mail recovery center in Atlanta Georgia (the state, not the country) with the tracking number. USPS opened it and tried to find a delivery address. Submitting the mail recovery was annoying, but Kvetun’s pre-shipping photo was significant help ensuring everything made it to me a couple days later. The person I talked to was rather impressed that I had such a perfect picture of this custom sporting equipment.

Ordered a rapier and a left hand dagger, the quality is great! For me the important thing was the historically accurate weight and size, which it is! The communication was amazing!

Great customer service! Great swords! And well, I love Russia.

What happened: I should have picked up the sowrds I ordered in Moscow, but I couldn't travel there because of COVID19. The guys from Kvetun Armoury helped me to solve the issue, receiving back the package sent to Moscow and resending it to Italy.

Thanks again! You rock!

Despite an initial issue with the construction and some communication with one of the craftsmen, Alexander from Kvetun resolved it to my full satisfaction (and beyond).

Both the helmet and aventail are well made. And what is most important, they were 100% open and willing to do any custom modifications at no extra cost (eg. decoration of the Gjermundbu mask according to provided scheme, exact mask dimensions, specific style of construction etc.). I do recommend Kvetun Armory to my full satisfaction.

Outstanding customer service and quality! Even with recent complications from Covid shut-downs/slow-downs, Alexander and the team at Kvetun have stayed on top of things. I currently have one of their light feders, two parrying daggers, and a Meyer Rappier in my collection. The parrying daggers have proved to a great workhorse even with rigorous mixed-weapon sparring and I'm very impressed with how nimble yet hearty the Meyer is. Looking forward to trying out the partisan spears and rapier I currently have on order!

I've owned a Kvetun feder for a while, and just finished ordering a sidsword from them. The feder is excellent; very durable, very nimble, and sturdy-feeling. I've also handled one of their Easton sabers. It's not mine, so I can't comment on the durability, but it looks great and feels good in the hand. The reason I'm writing the review, though, is to echo what others have said about their excellent customer service. I wanted to swap out a part from one of their rapiers onto one of their sideswords, something that required a fair bit of discussion as to what combination would best fit what I was looking for. I spent the whole time worried that I was getting on their nerves, but once I confirmed my order, they actually THANKED me for asking so many questions. In their words, "it is always nice to speak with a fencer who knows what he wants." They really put in the effort to understand what their customers (and, by extension, the HEMA community) want.

So I ordered my arming sword at the end of July and it arrived late October. I had good service when ordering and when I asked about updates I was given an answer rather quickly.

Overall I love the grip. The construction is solid and the shape of the grip, cross guard, and pommel fit very nicely in my hand (with and without gloves). The blade is good too as it flexes but is not wobbly and arrived to me in good condition. Overall it’s weighted beautifully, making the way it plays feel better than the other arming swords I got to try out. As for use. Due to an unexpected medical issue I was only able to do VERY slow work twice with it and solo practice. I was able to get a feel on how it felt I my hand and handled. I must say it handles amazingly. When I made cuts or went in for a bind it played just like I wanted it to (I don’t know if this is just me as a fencer or the sword but I did say it fit nicely in my hand and was weighted well). As for more intensive sparring, I recently got the go ahead that I could start up again and this morning had two more intensive sparring matches with it. All the things I said previously about how it felt in the hand and when in use applies here. The main thing I want to add is that it took contact with my opponents’ buckler and sword very well and I can say there was only one burr that showed up and the only way you could tell it was there is if you looked REALLY closely and were trying to find one. Basically it’s so small it may as well not be there. From what others who have gotten a chance to see how it feels they definitely like it as much if not more that the other arming swords out there. I am definitely happy with the product and am considering getting a sidesword from Kvetun eventually if this is the quality I can expect from them.

Great sword quality, they are fast in handling customer service and very precise about shipping and delivery time. I have the rapier for now, but I'm planning on something else too!

Last week I received my rapier (sidesword type 2) a brutal weapon in all its elegance. Fine balance with weight which is more hand-oriented. This results in beautifull stable thrusts. The blade is rather rigid, but very pleasing in the bind and the parry. thanks for this beauty Kvetun armoury!

The handling of these swords is pure joy. I'm also very happy in how Kvetun is handling their customer service. I already own a longsword an a sidesword, and I'm currently waiting to receive my rapier.

Great swords at competitive prices. The most important part is they are always looking to improve their products to suit the ever changing hema market. I've tried their long sword and sidesword #1 so far and I have no regret getting them. I'm currently looking to buy more for my club. They are the perfect steels for anyone to get started with. I can't wait to see and try out what else they come up with.

I bought several rapier and daggers from Kvetun Armoury in Jan 19, and now after almost a year of sparring i’m ready to review them. The rapier model is cup hilt with extra ring. There is no visible damage in all the components and no bend in the blade. It feel good in the hand, the blade is stiff enoght to do all the technique and still bends after impact. I wanted a tool to safely compete in tournament, with no worry for its durability, and this rapier is just perfect. Keep it mind to keep it clean, because cleaning a rapier is just a pain.

I'm satisfied also with the dagger, it seems pretty durable and safe for sparring. Some people point out it’s heavy, but I personally don’t find problems here. Final conclusion: If you are looking for a good fencing and tournament rapier, just get one of those! Customer care is simply amazing! Those guys are super professional and skilled. Thank you Alexander Stankiewicz

Received my feder today - and first impressions are absolutely positive. Only been able to test in solo drills and pellwork but it is lovely to handle. Striking around from opening is almost effortlessly - which as a meyerist is perfect from me!

But I got say that whilst the product is amazing the customer service is what truly deserves praise! One of the most pleasant companies to deal with!

I have owned my Kvetun standard feder for over six months so can now offer a rounded review including durability.

First the bits that are not made of metal. I ordered my feder just before Christmas and from my first enquiry to it landing on my doorstep the customer service has been amazing. Most of us have had less than sparkling service from HEMA suppliers but Kvetun are truly one of a kind, quick, responsive and friendly. Really the best customer service I could have asked for. Delivery was longer than anticipated, but I was kept informed. This was due to Christmas, holidays, and other factors. It was still under three months and like I say, I was kept informed. The important bit: the sword bit. I bought the feder because I liked how they perform. They are incredibly nimble and I love the way they handle. Balance is near perfect. Being the picky type I measured the product I got to what was ordered (length, point of balance, etc.) and it was all what was stated.

Durability is good, I have thrown it through the ringer for six months and cannot complain at all. The leather binding has gone, but I always expected it to. All the metalwork is still good and looks like it is going to stay that way for some time!

Really good customer service, nice looking swords and good blades! Looking forward for the new batch of swords for our club!

In my view, it is really difficult to overestimate these guys! They are extremely responsible and reliable producers who always try to meet all clients’ requirements.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that it’s a sheer pleasure to hold their swords: they’re well-balanced, enough heavy but swift and well-controlled at the same time. They are fussy about the quality of their product, so they always listen to client’s opinion. Moreover, guys from “Kvetun” all the time insistently ask their customers to give them feedback to help increase the quality of the swords and the protective gears. Given the above, it came as no surprise, that these guys managed to make a name for themselves and “Kvetun” became one of the most desired sponsors of the various Russian HEMA-events, because to win a prize made by them means to get the double prize.

Link to review >>>

I can not tell anything about customer service of these guys as all their products I've got I've got as presents. But the products themselves are great. First, they make great feders. I got mine on March and I thought, it was ideal (well, I still think so), but every next sword my friends ordered from Kvetun was better then the previous one in small details, but these details are something that actually matters. Also I would recommend their protection, however so far I have only tried their shoulders and brassards that saved my arms not only once and that did not constrain my mobility.

The best workshop I've ever worked with for 17 years in the reconstruction, I have not met more responsible and client-oriented masters.
